Tesamorelin is a stabilised analogue of growth-hormone-releasing hormone: a 44-residue peptide carrying an N-terminal trans-3-hexenoyl group and a C-terminal amide, also listed as TH9507. It is studied in vitro for GHRH receptor activation and growth-hormone regulation in pituitary cell models. Supplied at 5mg as a lyophilised powder for in-vitro laboratory research only.
Tesamorelin keeps the full GHRH sequence and adds a trans-3-hexenoyl group to the N-terminal tyrosine. In the literature this change is described as protecting the peptide from dipeptidyl peptidase IV, which otherwise inactivates the native hormone within minutes in biological fluids. Binding at the pituitary GHRH receptor raises cAMP in the same way as the native peptide, so it is used where a more persistent GHRH receptor agonist is wanted.
Research applications include GHRH receptor-binding and cAMP studies in transfected cells, release assays in primary pituitary cultures, and analytical work comparing the net peptide with its acetate salt. The specifications on this page give both net-peptide and acetate-salt values, so check which applies to a given calculation. It is supplied as a lyophilised powder.
Store the lyophilised powder in a freezer, protected from moisture and light, and let the vial reach room temperature before opening. Reconstitute with an appropriate laboratory diluent, aliquot, and keep reconstituted material cold.
Each lot of Tesamorelin is released with a certificate recording identity and purity. Enter the lot number printed on your vial on the lab testing page to view it.
Both are GHRH analogues. Sermorelin is the 29-residue fragment, while tesamorelin keeps the full 44-residue sequence and adds an N-terminal trans-3-hexenoyl group to resist peptidase cleavage.
It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 5mg vial, as the mono-acetate salt. Keep it cold, dry and away from light until it is needed.
No. The material sold here is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not a medicine, food or supplement, and it is not for human or animal use. Buyers must be aged 18 or over.
