GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide with the sequence D-Ala-D-2-Nal-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys and a C-terminal amide, also listed as KP-102. It belongs to the growth-hormone-releasing peptide class and is studied in vitro and in preclinical models for ghrelin-receptor activation in the hypothalamic-pituitary axis. Supplied at 10mg for in-vitro laboratory research only.
GHRP-2 acts as an agonist at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor 1a (GHS-R1a), the receptor for the natural peptide ghrelin. The receptor couples mainly through Gq, raising intracellular calcium and activating protein kinase C. Reports describe GHRP-2 as acting at both pituitary and hypothalamic sites, through a pathway distinct from that of growth-hormone-releasing hormone. In cell models its activity is read as calcium mobilisation and downstream hormone release.
Laboratory work includes receptor-binding competition assays, calcium-flux and inositol phosphate assays in cells expressing GHS-R1a, and hormone release measurements in primary pituitary cultures. It is also used as a reference ligand when comparing secretagogue analogues, and in studies of how receptor signalling changes after repeated exposure. The compound is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 10mg vial.
Store the lyophilised powder in a freezer, protected from moisture and light, and let the vial reach room temperature before opening. Reconstitute with an appropriate laboratory diluent and keep reconstituted material cold.
Each lot of GHRP-2 is released with a certificate recording identity and purity. Enter the lot number printed on your vial on the lab testing page to view it.
Both are synthetic hexapeptides of the growth-hormone-releasing peptide class and both act at GHS-R1a. They differ in sequence: GHRP-2 contains D-Ala and D-2-Nal residues, while GHRP-6 contains His and D-Trp. Their pharmacology is often compared in the literature.
It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 10mg vial. Keep it cold, dry and away from light until it is needed, then reconstitute with a suitable laboratory diluent.
No. It is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not a medicine, food or supplement, and it is not for human or animal use. Buyers must be aged 18 or over.
