Terms and Conditions
The terms that apply to every visit to this website and every order placed on it. Please read them, together with our research use policy, before you order.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of this website and your purchase of products from LABS PTG (“we”, “us”), a business based in the United Kingdom. Our company details are shown in the footer of every page. Please read them with our Research Use Policy and our Privacy Policy, both of which form part of the agreement between you and us. If these Terms and the Research Use Policy disagree, these Terms prevail.
Eligibility
By visiting this website or buying products from us, you represent, warrant and confirm that you are aged 18 or over and are a qualified person acting for a legitimate laboratory or research purpose. We may check eligibility at any time, and we may refuse or cancel any order where we cannot reasonably establish it.
Acceptance of Terms
Your use of this website is subject to these Terms, the Research Use Policy and the Privacy Policy that go with them, and any other policy the website refers to, and by using it you accept that you are bound by all of them. If you do not agree, you must stop using the website and must not place an order.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms whenever we choose, without giving advance notice. If you keep using the website after a change, you are accepting the revised Terms. An order is governed by the version in force when it was placed.
Regulatory position
The products on this website are research chemicals, intended only for laboratory research use. No product is authorised as a medicine, and no marketing authorisation has been granted for any of them in the United Kingdom or anywhere else. Nor are they offered as, or designed for, the diagnosis, treatment, cure, prevention or mitigation of any disease or medical condition affecting humans or animals, and they must never be used for such a purpose.
This website gives no medical advice and makes no offer to supply a medicinal product. If a product comes within the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, or within any other law that applies, we supply it on a research-use-only basis and only to qualified purchasers, and we may turn down any order that we consider to conflict with that basis.
Permitted use of products
LABS PTG supplies all of its products for laboratory research and in-vitro use only.
Under no circumstances may the products be used for:
- recreational use;
- consumption by humans or animals;
- cosmetic applications;
- use as a food additive;
- use as a drug or a medical device; or
- medical or diagnostic use.
Use beyond the permitted research purposes is expressly forbidden.
Customer responsibilities
As purchaser, you represent, warrant and confirm that you:
- know how to handle research materials safely;
- will follow every local, national and international law that applies;
- will maintain suitable hygiene and safety controls, including COSHH where it applies;
- will warn anyone downstream of the hazards involved; and
- have checked every regulatory approval that applies to their work.
Where we suspect misuse, or reasonably consider that supplying a person or organisation would be unlawful or unsuitable, we may limit or refuse sales to them.
No advice or warranties
Everything on this website is provided for information only. We do not give medical advice, dosage guidance, reconstitution protocols or recommendations on use. Purchasers must rely on their own professional judgement and expertise. Nothing on this website should be taken as encouraging, enabling or approving any use apart from laboratory research.
Intellectual property
The content of this website, including its text, graphics, logos, images and product descriptions, belongs to LABS PTG or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, distribute or use any of it for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
Orders, pricing and availability
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP), include VAT where VAT is chargeable, and may change without notice. The price shown when you place your order is the price you pay. Delivery is charged separately where it applies and is shown before you order.
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept orders subject to stock, and a contract is formed when we confirm that we have accepted your order or when we dispatch it, whichever happens first. We may refuse, cancel or limit any order at our sole discretion. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we refund it in full.
Payment and delivery
You pay by bank transfer only. After you place an order we show our bank details and your order number, which you must use as the payment reference. We hold an unpaid order for 3 working days, and if payment has not reached us by then, the order is cancelled. We dispatch only once payment has cleared, and we will refund any overpayment. You are responsible for any charge made by your own bank.
We deliver to UK addresses only, and we do not offer international delivery at present. Our services, prices and cut-off times are set out on our Customer Support page. Delivery estimates are not guarantees, but unless we agree another date with you, we will deliver within 30 days of the contract being formed. If we cannot, you may cancel and we will refund you.
The products are at your risk once they are delivered to the address you gave us, and you become their owner when we have received payment in full. We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as postal disruption or severe weather.
Refunds and returns
Because returned products cannot be resold and must be disposed of responsibly, we operate a limited refunds and returns policy. We may decline a refund or return in the following situations:
- a return has been requested and the product has not been sent back;
- the goods have been opened, used or modified since they arrived;
- the order was delivered more than 7 days ago;
- damage on arrival is reported and clear photographic evidence has not been provided within a reasonable time;
- loss in transit is reported but fewer than 21 days have elapsed since dispatch; or
- loss or damage in transit is reported and we have not received a completed Denial of Receipt form.
We review every request individually, in line with applicable consumer protection law. If we agree a refund, we pay it back to the bank account the payment came from.
If you believe a product does not meet its specification, our money back guarantee applies, as explained on our Customer Support page. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including any right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Those Regulations give no right to cancel for sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once they have been unsealed.
Indemnification
The purchaser agrees to indemnify and defend LABS PTG and its directors, officers, employees and agents, and to hold them harmless, against every claim, loss, liability and expense (damages and reasonable legal fees included) that arises out of any misuse of the products or any breach of these Terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law permits, the products and the website are supplied “as is” and “as available”, and we give no warranty of any description, whether express or implied. We will not be liable for punitive, special, consequential, incidental or indirect damages. Our total liability in respect of any order is limited to the amount paid for it.
These Terms do not exclude or limit liability for fraud, for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, or for anything else that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
Website availability
We do not promise that the website will always be available. We may suspend, restrict or end access whenever we choose, and we accept no liability for doing so.
Prohibited conduct
You must not send us or post on the website anything that is misleading, abusive, defamatory or unlawful, put the website to commercial use that we have not authorised, or state, imply or suggest that our products are supplied for any prohibited use. If a message suggests an intended misuse, we will refuse service at once and, where appropriate, pass the matter to the appropriate authorities.
International users
Anyone in the world can view this website, but we deliver to UK addresses only. Anyone who uses the website or the products is solely responsible for making sure that doing so complies with the laws of their own jurisdiction. Nothing on this website implies that buying or using a product is lawful in any particular country.
Governing law and jurisdiction
English and Welsh law governs these Terms and any dispute or claim connected with them or with what they cover, including disputes and claims that are not contractual. Jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim lies exclusively with the courts of England and Wales.
Severability
If a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of these Terms invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision is severed, and the other provisions continue to apply in full.
Entire agreement
The entire agreement between you and us about the use of this website consists of these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Research Use Policy and any further policy that the website refers to. It replaces every earlier agreement or understanding, whether written or spoken.
