Research overview
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide, Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro (TKPRPGP), modelled on the immune peptide tuftsin. It is studied in GABAergic modulation, neuropeptide signalling and neuroimmune interactions in cell and preclinical models, and its sequence joins an immune peptide to a stabilising tail. Supplied at 5mg as a lyophilised powder for in-vitro laboratory research only.
Selank combines the tuftsin sequence Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail intended to resist peptidases. Tuftsin is an immunomodulatory tetrapeptide, and Selank is studied in the literature for effects on interleukin expression, on enkephalin-degrading enzymes and on GABAergic and serotonergic markers in rodent brain tissue. Reported mechanisms, including allosteric modulation of GABA-A receptors, come mostly from a small number of research groups and are still being tested.
Laboratory use includes gene expression assays for cytokines and neurotrophic factors in cultured immune and neural cells, enkephalinase activity assays, GABA-A receptor binding and electrophysiology in neuronal preparations, and peptide stability studies in serum-containing media that follow how quickly the Pro-Gly-Pro tail protects the intact sequence. It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 5mg vial.

Questions
How is Selank related to tuftsin?
Selank is modelled on tuftsin, the tetrapeptide Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg, with a Pro-Gly-Pro extension intended to slow enzymatic breakdown. It is therefore studied at the border between immune and neuropeptide signalling.
How is Selank supplied?
It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 5mg vial. Keep it cold, dry and away from light, and reconstitute with a suitable laboratory diluent only when the material is needed.
Is Selank a medicine?
No. It is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not a medicine, food or supplement, and it is not for human or animal use. Buyers must be aged 18 or over.
