Research overview
Vesugen is a three-residue bioregulator-type peptide, Lys-Glu-Asp (KED). It is studied in vascular endothelial cell proliferation and survival models, using cultured endothelial cells, within the family of very short peptides described largely by the Khavinson group. Supplied at 20mg as a lyophilised powder for in-vitro laboratory research only.
Vesugen is described as the vascular-associated tripeptide of the family. It is proposed to enter endothelial cells and interact with DNA or chromatin proteins, shifting the expression of genes that control growth and survival. In endothelial cell cultures, reports describe effects on proliferation, on markers of cell senescence and on stress responses. The studies come from a small number of laboratories, and the underlying mechanism remains a hypothesis.
Laboratory work uses endothelial cell lines such as HUVEC, with proliferation and viability assays, tube-formation assays, senescence staining and qPCR of vascular genes. Labelled analogues are used for uptake studies, and the stability of a three-residue peptide in culture media is followed by HPLC. It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 20mg vial.

Questions
How is Vesugen related to Vilon?
Vilon is the dipeptide Lys-Glu, and Vesugen is the tripeptide Lys-Glu-Asp, so Vesugen extends Vilon by one aspartate residue. They are studied in different cell types.
How is Vesugen supplied and stored?
It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 20mg vial. Keep it cold, dry and away from light, and reconstitute with a suitable laboratory diluent only when the material is needed.
Is Vesugen a medicine?
No. It is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not a medicine, food or supplement, and it is not for human or animal use. Buyers must be aged 18 or over.
