Research overview
Cartalax is a three-residue bioregulator-type peptide, Ala-Glu-Asp (AED). It is studied in chondrocyte and fibroblast cultures, including matrix gene expression, and belongs to the family of very short peptides described largely by the Khavinson group. Supplied at 20mg as a lyophilised powder for in-vitro laboratory research only.
Cartalax is described as the cartilage-associated member of the short peptide family. Its sequence, Ala-Glu-Asp, matches the first three residues of the tetrapeptide Epithalon, which shows how closely related these compounds are. In chondrocyte and fibroblast cultures, the peptide has been reported to affect expression of genes linked to cartilage matrix, proliferation and cell senescence. The proposed mechanism is an interaction with DNA or chromatin proteins, and independent confirmation is limited.
Laboratory work uses chondrocyte, fibroblast and mesenchymal cell cultures, with qPCR of collagen and aggrecan genes, senescence staining, proliferation assays and immunostaining for matrix proteins. Peptide stability in media is checked by HPLC, since tripeptides can be cleaved quickly. It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 20mg vial.

Questions
How is Cartalax related to Epithalon?
Cartalax is the tripeptide Ala-Glu-Asp. Epithalon is the tetrapeptide Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, so Cartalax matches the first three residues of that sequence. They are studied in different tissue contexts.
How should Cartalax be stored?
It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 20mg vial. Keep it cold, dry and away from light, and reconstitute with a suitable laboratory diluent only when the material is needed.
Is Cartalax a medicine?
No. It is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not a medicine, food or supplement, and it is not for human or animal use. Buyers must be aged 18 or over.
