Research overview
Testagen is a short bioregulator-type peptide, Lys-Glu-Asp-Gly (KEDG), listed as a testis peptide bioregulator of the Khavinson family. It is examined for gene-expression effects in reproductive-tissue cell and animal models, in cultured cells and in preclinical studies. Supplied at 20mg as a lyophilised powder for in-vitro laboratory research only.
Testagen is described as the testis-associated tetrapeptide of the family. Following the family hypothesis, it is proposed to reach the nucleus and interact with DNA or chromatin proteins, shifting expression of tissue-specific genes. Reports describe changes in gene expression in testicular cell cultures and in rodent studies of the reproductive axis. As with other members of the family, the work comes from a limited number of groups and the mechanism is still a hypothesis.
Laboratory designs use Sertoli and Leydig-type cell lines or primary testicular cultures, with qPCR of steroidogenic and differentiation genes, viability and proliferation assays, and immunostaining. DNA-binding and uptake experiments use labelled analogues, and identity is confirmed by HPLC and mass spectrometry. It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 20mg vial.

Questions
What is the difference between Testagen and Livagen?
Both are four-residue peptides that begin with Lys-Glu-Asp. Testagen ends in glycine (KEDG) and Livagen in alanine (KEDA), and the literature links them to different tissues.
How is Testagen supplied and stored?
It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 20mg vial. Keep it cold, dry and away from light, and reconstitute with a suitable laboratory diluent only when the material is needed.
Is Testagen a medicine?
No. It is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not a medicine, food or supplement, and it is not for human or animal use. Buyers must be aged 18 or over.
