Research overview
Pancragen is a short bioregulator-type peptide, Lys-Glu-Asp-Trp (KEDW), described as a pancreatic peptide bioregulator. It is studied in pancreatic cell differentiation and survival models, within the family of very short peptides described largely by the Khavinson group. Supplied at 20mg as a lyophilised powder for in-vitro laboratory research only.
Pancragen is described as the pancreas-associated tetrapeptide of the bioregulator family. The proposed mechanism is entry into the nucleus and interaction with DNA or chromatin proteins, altering expression of genes in pancreatic cells. In islet-derived and pancreatic cell cultures, reported work includes changes in differentiation markers, proliferation and survival under stress. Evidence is limited to a small number of research groups, and mechanistic detail is still hypothetical.
Laboratory work uses pancreatic cell lines and islet cultures, with viability and proliferation assays, qPCR of differentiation and insulin-pathway genes, and immunostaining. Sources differ on whether the free acid or the amidated KEDW-NH2 is the literature compound, so identity should be confirmed by mass spectrometry. It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 20mg vial.

Storage and handling
Store the lyophilised powder in a freezer, protected from moisture and light, and let the vial reach room temperature before opening. Reconstitute with an appropriate laboratory diluent and keep reconstituted material cold.
Certificates of analysis
Each lot of Pancragen is released with a certificate recording identity and purity. Enter the lot number printed on your vial on the lab testing page to view it.
Questions
Is Pancragen the free acid or the amide?
Sources differ. The literature compound is described as the amidated form, KEDW-NH2, while the free acid is also listed. Both formulas are given on the product page, so confirm identity by mass spectrometry for quantitative work.
How is Pancragen supplied and stored?
It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 20mg vial. Keep it cold, dry and away from light, and reconstitute with a suitable laboratory diluent only when the material is needed.
Is Pancragen a medicine?
No. It is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not a medicine, food or supplement, and it is not for human or animal use. Buyers must be aged 18 or over.
