Research overview
Ovagen is a three-residue bioregulator-type peptide, Glu-Asp-Leu (EDL). It is studied for gene-expression effects in liver and gut-lining cell cultures, within the family of very short peptides described largely by the Khavinson group. Supplied at 20mg as a lyophilised powder for in-vitro laboratory research only.
Ovagen is described as the tripeptide linked to liver and gastrointestinal tissue in the bioregulator literature. Following the family model, it is proposed to enter cells and interact with DNA or chromatin proteins, modifying expression of genes characteristic of those tissues. In hepatocyte and intestinal epithelial cultures, studies cite changes in proliferation markers and in genes tied to cell senescence and metabolism. The data are limited to a few research groups, and independent confirmation is still needed.
Laboratory work uses hepatocyte cell lines, primary liver cultures and intestinal epithelial models such as Caco-2, with proliferation and viability assays, qPCR of tissue-specific genes, senescence staining and immunostaining of epithelial markers. Stability of the tripeptide in media is followed by HPLC. It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 20mg vial.

Questions
What is Ovagen made of?
It is the tripeptide Glu-Asp-Leu (EDL), a member of the short peptide bioregulator family. It is a single defined three-residue chain, not a tissue extract.
How is Ovagen supplied and stored?
It is supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 20mg vial. Keep it cold, dry and away from light, and reconstitute with a suitable laboratory diluent only when the material is needed.
Is Ovagen a medicine?
No. It is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not a medicine, food or supplement, and it is not for human or animal use. Buyers must be aged 18 or over.
